Preventative Medicine
Preventive medicine is a good way to keep your pet healthy longer. Some examples are: vaccinations, yearly to biyearly physical exams, intestinal parasite checks, heartworm tests, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, spay, neuters, dental, and varying degrees of lab work. As a puppy or kitten your pet will start off with a vaccination protocol to prevent many diseases, we also check for parasites and start these guys on heartworm and/or flea/tick prevention. As your pet grows we may recommend routine dental care to prevent gingivitis and tooth decay. When your pet reaches a certain age we may recommend joint supplements and blood work to assess internal organ function and modify your pet's lifestyle if necessary.
